I have B&W DM602 S2's in the front and DM302's in the back. I am about to buy an HTR-5490 (Best Buy employee discount) and now I need a center channel. My question is whether I should get an S2 center channel, namely the LCR6 S2, for $400 (used to retail for $600 according to Myer-Emco guy) or if I should get an S3 center channel, either the LCR60 S3 ($350) or the LCR600 S3 ($500). I would like to get one of the newer products (S3), however the person at Myer-Emco said that the LCR6 S2 would better match my speakers. I was looking at the LCR60 S3 but he said the LCR6 S2 has bigger drivers and would be better. With all this info, which speaker would go best with my system factoring in price and performance. It seems as if the guy might just want to get rid of the "old" S2 series so he is pushing it, however I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
