|   Will the Polk Audio CSi40 center channel speaker match? | flynnet
May 6, 2002 9:45 AM | | I own a pair of Polk RT55i speakers. The center chanel speaker that matched them has been discontinued, the CS400i. It seems that the closest speaker that polk has to match the RT55i's is the CSi40. This speaker has similar drivers but a different tweeter, it has a silk polymer tweeter wheras the RT55i has a trilaminate dome tweeter. Also the RT55i has a differaction bezel which is absent on the CSi40. Does anyone think that these speakers will match or should i try hunting down a CS400i center channel speaker? |

Tweeters made out of different materials sound different and seeing as the Center carries most of the dialogue in movies I'd try to find a center using the same tweeter and drivers. But if you can't find it, give polk a call and see if they can reccomend something and then go to the store and try it out. |
