May 7, 2002 3:13 PM | | Try to listen to both of them. The 5.2 is the newer model fashioned after the Energy Encores. I have heard both sets of speakers. The Take 5.2 allows a little more flexibility with the sub adjustments and uses aluminum drivers as well as vented enclosures. There is a $100.00 difference in prices on the internet. I set out to buy either set, but locally they were $876.00. The Energys are not $326.00 better sounding to my ears. I ended up getting the AR HC 6 system for $550 locally ($700.00 retail). They work great in our 21 x 15 foot room. I have been listening to tons of CD's since I bought them. I have been recommending these things to everyone interested in a good system.
