I am looking into getting a DVD Player and want DVD-Audio and Progressive scan. What is the best player that had this in this price range. I am looking at the Denon 1600. Any suggestions on this or comments on this unit? Thanks

no need to spend so much to get good peformance I wuld get the JVC SA75GD for about 275 or so. If you want the best of the best in that range get the panasonic RP91 for 450.00.

Thanks for the suggestions. What do you think about the Denon 1600 vs. the Panasonic?

The Denons chip is better but it also has the chroma bug so I vote Panasonic :)

You can get a spectacular deal on the Toshiba SD-9200 on ubid.com. I got mine new for under $500 shipped. It's got all the goodies you want with exceptional video and cd playback(blows my normal cd player away). It also weighs over 20lbs!
and has the chroma bug ntAdam
