Our HT affliction...HockeNut
May 9, 2002 8:28 AM
We obsess about the things we own,
We tweek most every day,
And even then it wont suffice,
It is the nature of our way.

A sharper picture, a clearer sound,
More bass or slightly less,
Red push, bleeding, just too bright,
Are we experts, or do we guess?

The perfect system does not exist,
This can never be attained,
For our quest to upgrade to that point,
Would leave us empty, completely drained.

So the service menus come into play,
A new calibration disc to try,
We make enhancements bit by bit,
Though so many wonder why.

This is the path we have chosen,
Not a curse, a conscious choice,
A more lucid Center channel,
To convey our collective voice.

From 2, to 5, to 5.1,
6.1, Matrix, and EX,
Our gear is already out of date,
Have they even cashed our checks?

The constant fight to have it all,
Then money rears its head,
So we compromise, or so we think,
Let's just upgrade things instead.

So I raise my glass to our Forum,
Let us drink and admit our plight,
May we all be blessed with upgradres,
And to tweek it all just right.
