Yamaha DSP-A1 Center Channel volume problem - HELP!yamdsp-a1
May 9, 2002 10:53 AM
Hi

My Yamaha is acting up. The volume to the center channel cuts out. If I jiggle the volume knob, I can usually get the sound to come back on but then the light on the volume knob usually goes out. Is this a short in the wiring or something more serious? Is it something I can fix.

The volume to the other channels (right, left and rears) works fine even when the sound to the center has cut out.

Very strange problem. I have tried anti static spray and contact cleaner in the volume knob but that hasn't helped.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kip

If the volume knob blinks like you said, then something is most definately wrong, unless it blink when you use it regularly. So get it to a service place and get it taken care of since it's under warranty.
