Is it possible to use a equilizer with these units and how?

I think you use the pre in's and out's. I have a DSP-A1 and the instruction call for using them and using the monitor/tape 2 to cut the eq in and out fo the signal.

I've got the same issue...Just received my RX-V1200 today and have not been able to get my older Yamaha EQ, EQ1100U, to work with it. I've fired off a help request to Yamaha, with no reply as of yet. If anyone has gotten this type of setup to work, please advise....Thnx!
