| Don't know if it's the best but i | pinetop Jul 27, 2002 3:03 AM | | allways had good results with the TDK tapes. bob d |
| TDK XP-Pro is excellent but expensive. | Slosh Jul 27, 2002 6:51 AM | | The TDK tapes usually sell for about $7.50 each. The best deal I've found on S-VHS tape is JVC SV-120 for $4.00 each at tapeworld.com. They aren't quite as detailed as the TDKs but for nearly half the price they are very good. Tape World charges $7.95 for shipping whether you order ten or one hundred tapes, so you're better off getting them in bulk (I've been buying them twenty at a time).
Does your VCR have S-VHS ET? I've been getting pretty decent results with $1.00 each TDK E-HG and Sony Premium V-Series tapes. It's not as good as real S-VHS tape of course, but much cheaper. FWIW, my VCR is a JVC HR-S7600. |
