Hey,
I have a pair of s312 as mains and now I am interested in getting a pair of rears for my system. I want to know what would sound better. I can get a pair of s38's or a pair of s310's. Would the s310's sound good as rears? I would be paying less for the s310's if you take into consideration that I will need to buy stands. Any other recommendations are welcome but I would like to stick with the Studio Series.

Thanks,

Tyler Richenberger

I would go for the S310's and buy short stands for them. For stands, I would go for 32" stands. Make sure that they are out of the way, so that they cannot be knocked over. That would suck.

The reason for this is, your rear speakers should be 5-6 ft. above ground and slightly behind your head.

The speakers should be, when u are sitting at the centre of them on your couch or whatever, 20 degrees behind your head (slightly behind your head).

A good site is the Jamo.com site

Enjoy your speakers, I envy you. I hope this helps
