| Everytime the refrigerator compressor comes on, a thin | tazz Jul 31, 2002 2:02 PM | | stripe of snow goes across the widescreen. It is at various places and widths, and not the entire screen.
We bought the Monster Clean Power 2. I thought that Monster product was supposed to help with these types of probelms. Our other tv's do not react this way.
Any thoughts.
Thanks in advance.... |

Could be the TV with the problem is on the same electric circuit as the Frig? I had a similar problem where I would get static through the audio every time the Frig started. I installed a Monster HTS2000 and it took care of that problem. I'm not famaliar with the Clean Power 2?
Good Luck!

| Thank you for some real solutions. I just called Monster..... | tazz Jul 31, 2002 3:26 PM | | and the customer service rep, after talking to a tech dude....
Said it was an 'air frequency' probelm. Huh? He went on to say that frigs, microwaves, and other items, will emit this and often high end electronics pick it up.
Doesn't that negate their whole product line!? (Being polite, I didn't ask him this)
He then said that I could discuss this with an electrician, it wasn't transmitted through the wires at all.
He later said that some try to fix this by wiring a separate power source to isolate their equipment. Doesn't that solution then say it is a wire probelm (I didn't ask him this either, he just added the following sentence)? He said he wasn't explaining it right, and I could talk to their tech. or an electrician to get a better interpretation.
Just thought you would be interested in their response. I did ask if I talked to an electrian (happen to know a few), and he didn't confirm what he said, would they replace the unit.
"Uh....no."
When would Monster then confirm you have a faulty unit? I'm sure it happens, but this customer service rep's response.....makes me wonder. |

When the Krell starts pushing hard half of the Tv's are on the same circuit and they start to flicker and dim because of the power drain. See if you have power supply problems. |
