COMPONENT VIDEO QUESTION...HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!fnkycld
Aug 1, 2002 2:01 PM
ok so i won a sony wega 27fs13 TV off ebay last weekend and and picking it up (to save 150 on shipping) in boston on sunday and my way back home from visiting my friend. in order to make sure nothing is wrong with it at the time of pickup, i am going to test everything out before putting it in my car. so im bringing my dvd player and will test the composite, svideo, and component video inputs. the problem is that my last tv didnt have component video inputs (it was only 20 inches) and now i need to purchase component video cables. i ordered them from ac4l.com but they wont be here in time, so i was wondering if either of the 2 options would work to let me test it this weekend...

1. use a set of highly shielded RCA A/V cables
2. Use three highly shielded composite video cables

ill have internet access through sunday so any help between now and then would be really helpful. thanks guys!

your two options are the same thing, anyway you can use these for the component video test
Any RCA cable will do.KiD SmokE

For "testing", any RCA cable will do and it doesn't even have to be video cable :)
