Is it possible???goldberg

Is it possible to place a floorstanding speaker on top of a sub{in this case a downfiring sub}?Will or can it effect the sound or do any damage to sub or speaker? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible? Sure it is. Will it "damage" anything? Not unless the floorstander is very, very, very, VERY heavy.
Will it sound good? Probably not (unless you're standing on your tip-toes). It will position the tweeter way above ear-level when you're sitting down ... this is not good practice.

Why is such a move necessary?

It's just that the speaker was way to low, the tweeter instead of being ear level was stomach level so I put the speaker on top of the sub and now the tweeter is just above ear level, but what a difference, the front soundstage sounds alot richer so if know damage will result from this then I will leave it as it is.Thanks.
