I asked Time Warner (my supplier) why they can not include this in the signal that they transmit and could not get a comprehensible answer from the sales office. Also, does satellite now offer any digital surround options? |

Oct 21, 2002 3:38 PM | | I have AT&T in Seattle. They just started offering S-Video and 5.1 DD. The 5.1 is offered on premium channels like HBO, Showtime etc. Had it installed last week, (just swapped out the DCT2000 for one with S and Digital Audio outputs..) not all the premium channels have 5.1 all the time but the installer said they were working towards all multi-tier channels offering it. BTW, the S Video on the premium channels looks excellent! So if the cable system has been upgraded to the 750mhz system, hopefully its just a matter of time for you. |
