| How to get better sound from dvd | franco Oct 23, 2002 3:57 AM | | I have panasonic r31dvd. I want to get better sound without
spending a fortune. I did see the onkyo mc25 tech minishelf
system that has a 3cd changer and a hook-up for a dvd. Is
this the way to go. It cost around $380. My budget is around $450. Is there anything else I should look at. Do or
should I just buy one of those six speaker home theather paks. I see at best buy? Or how about the bose 321 system
that just has the speakers for around $450? |

2. The CD sound from a mini-system isn't likely to be any better than that from any DVD player.
3. Stay away from Bose.

You really can't get much else at $99 pair. The Paradigm Titans, PSB Alphas, don't like any of them. Combine that with a Decent HT reciever from Yamaha or Denon or Marantz for $300 and you'll have something that will sound 10 times better than the sound you'll get through your TV. You can eventually, when budget allows, get better speakers, move the Bose to the rear, add a center, and sub, and you're on your way. |
