Wiring home theaterthash

I am trying to find the best way to wire my home theater. I currently have a Mitsubishi big screen that utilizes Netcommand. I have just purchased a Pioneer Elite VSX-47TX reciever. Should I wire the components(DVD, SAT, etc)to the big screen and utilize the Netcommand or should I wire everthing through the reciever. Any thoughts

Netcommand is a GUI interface that allows you to change from component to component just by selecting it. Netcommand also has the feature of Infrared Remitters that will also turn on each component when selected. In the future Firewire will be used to eliminate the number of wires needed and will connect all the components by the use a single wire in a Daisy Chain manner. My concern is whether this is too much stress on the TV? Also if I go through the reciever, do I run the video through it also( hopefully eliminating several remotes)? Thanks for the response

I especially like its re-emmiting IR capability.

I am not sure about Netcommand detail feature, but if you also can operate each component independent of GUI graphic (without turning the TV on), then I don't see anything wrong wit it. But if netcommand will take away your independent operating capability, then we might have a problem. I don't think I like turning TV on-or leave it on-just for control sake of my components. That is the decision you have to make.
You also have to realize that CRT in RPTV do age and will loss their brightness as they wheel in their life span (10,000 hours average).

Also if it is a hassle (too many steps to go thru), then you can use you your Receiver as the hub of your system. You do run video thru it (preferably S-video and up convert any S-video sources such as VCR). This will eliminate TV's remote all together (except my be tuning off or on).
