Oct 26, 2002 12:30 AM | | I have a standard direct view Toshiba 29 inch T.V.Now without using any kind of measuring instruments how should I set the contrast,colour,brightness,tint,sharpness controls.My room is dimly lit using a 9w fluorescent lamp{cool white is the colour}backlight.All the controls work on a 1-100 scale.So if anyone can help me by telling me how I should set each control using this scale I would be very grateful.Obviously it doesn't have to be exact but more or less where each control should be set on the 1-100 scale. Thanks in advance. |

It varies quite a bit from TV to TV. Use the Sound and Vision guide to home theater ($15.00 at amazon) to determine settings after using it I was amazed by the results. It is a very good tool for setting up HTs.
