| Was it rudeness, or something else? | jeskibuff Jan 7, 2003 6:22 PM | | That's a lot of posts to make in a short period of time. Did he do this on purpose, or was there some technical glitch? We've all had our computers do screwy things on us. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. The question seemed sincere to me with no intent of malice. It'd be nice if a moderator would clean all the dupes out. |
| Good point... | yogo Jan 7, 2003 6:38 PM | | benefit of the doubt should come first. I see tons of this in the online gaming world but that might not apply here.
I also hate to be reactionary...which I was. |
| There were 129 posts inbetween 1:24pm and 1:25pm.. | jeskibuff Jan 8, 2003 8:09 AM | | ...to do that manually would be quite laborious. Why would anyone want to go through that effort? I think a hostile intent would show the posts spread over a longer period of time. This was a short, rapid burst of repeat postings. I would tend to blame a glitch in AudioReview's servers rather than either the poster's computer or his ISP. |
| There were 129 posts inbetween 1:24pm and 1:25pm.. | drunkenrage Jan 8, 2003 11:20 AM | | Yea i have no idea why that happened. I post here from time to time and I did what I always do. When I clicked on the post button, there was a long delay and i waited for about a minute until it finally got posted. But When I checked there was a lots of the same post and i was like WTF!!!! crazy computers. |
| Did you count all the post one by one..LOL-nt | Smokey Jan 8, 2003 6:30 PM | | |
| I knew someone would ask that! :> | jeskibuff Jan 8, 2003 9:43 PM | | I did a cut-and-paste of the posts into Excel and just checked the row count. At that rate, someone would have to post at the rate of two per second! That's pretty fast, considering you'd have to use the "back" button each time. |
