You both have mentioned about using your ES receivers as pre/pro. Could you please explain to me what that means ? I'm also curious to know how you have your bass, freq, etc set on your receiver for your speakers.
Thanks
Ray

Ray, the use of a receiver as a prepro means that I have hooked the receiver to external amps via the receiver's preouts. I have 2 AMC amps which provide the amplification to my speakers.
While listening to music, I have set the EQ to "Off" and the Tone settings to "Flat" as they came from the factory.
I have set the EQ on different levels as there are 5 EQ settings to choose from. You will have to experiment with those settings yourself as the sound you hear edpends on your speakers, room size, etc.
Thanks Nick but I have a couple more ?????????ray5aes

Thanks Nick,
I have the Sony DA5ES which I purchased about year or so ago and I'm just now getting around to fine tuning this bad boy. So with your ext-amps you are beefing up the power sent to your speakers ? I currently have the Acoustic Research Stature Series S50's as my mains. They sound pretty good but I like to take everything to it's fullist potential. My HT room is about 19'X 20'.Can you recommend a decent power amp and do I need one to power all speakers or just a two channel amp for music ? Thanks for you time Nick
Ray
