| Need recommendation | marpec Jan 7, 2003 6:55 PM | | Need recommendation on my First Home surround receiver. I believe I would like a 6.1 digital surround sound receiver. I have a digital satelite system and a dvd and stereo VHS.
I don't know a lot about Receivers but I am interested in finding a good receiver that will be good for years to come. My target budget is arround $350. What good named and features for the money receivers are in that range.
How about the $500 and under range so I may compare to make a smarter decision.
Any help is appreciated and if any one has a great deal I would be interested or if you can steer me to the right place.

They are authorized sellers and tend to have great prices....some things that seem out of your range at most stores (yamaha 5560, 5590, etc) will fit in if you give JandR.com a chance. i am sure there are other places out there that offer comparable prices, but i have yet to see one of them authorized by yamaha(which is key if you want the manufactures warranty). anyway, just a thought...in a lot of ways sound is relative, so definately audition.
good luck.
