LCD Projector advice......what to purchase.skribnod

Hi its me again....i am currently looking to purchase a LCD Projector. My problem is i have no clue on what to look for in a projector. My room is a dedicated theatre room....small but still dedicated. It is 16x13, The light is very controllable. I can turn it pitch black or adjust lighting by dimmer switch. I would like a LCD projector that can play in both widescreen and normal mode. It should also have switching capability for X box, playstation2,PC,DVD and VCR. Preferably high resolution and high lummans. Also maybe digital zoom. What can i buy for under $2000.00 and have a good quality image? What do i look for in a projector besides lummans and resolution? Thanks a bunch and any help at all is appreciated !!! I have called around to some projector retailers but i get a different story from each one telling me "their's" is the best. Thanks

Hey, I feel your pain. When I first started looking, I didn't know what I wanted either. The guys at www.avsform.com really helped me out with my decision. In the end I went with the Sony VPL-HS10, it's a little more than you are looking to spend, but I think that you would be very happy with the WXGA picture. It's native 16:9, but will also show 4:3 inside of the 16:9 image. You may also want to look at the InFocus X1...I hear it's nice for the price too, but it's only SVGA and I think that it's DLP as well. You might want to look at Panasonic AE-series of projectors.
