Could some one explain to me how pre-amps can be used for system expansion
Quote from JVC site "7.1 preamp output that keeps you ready for system expansion"
thanks

what do you guys think of the new JVC RX-8030V? Is the THD at 0.8% too high?

Preamp outputs let you connect the receiver to other power amplifiers to drive your main speakers. Preamp inputs together with preamp outputs allow you to use external decoders.

The THD specification is not high at 0.8%, not under those conditions.

Notice that it is a rating that's given for all 6 channels operating (130W*6 ) It will be much lower under normal operation. In fact this is the first receiver specification I've seen with all channels active at full power. I have seen no other brand giving that rating. A very courageous rating indeed!
