These got some great reviews from a lot of people. This is just a suggestion, there are a lot of other speakers you could choose from, but it's late and i'm too tired.

I have been very happy with it apart from two things, firstly I had to take it back to the shop to get the receive fixed after only 1 month (all ok now) and secondly I find the cooling fan to be very noisy.
The sound is fantastic.
Now to answer your question. I purchaed the KEF2005 surround speakers. 5 surrounds and a Sub. Excellent package and beautiful sound from such a small speaker. The sub is top of the range. The whole package should give you at least one hundred change from $1000. One note of caution, don't be disappointed when you bring the speakers home and they don't sound perfect at first. Mine took about 200hrs to 'burn in'
Happy shopping. |
| re: Need Speakers for NAD T752 | N1XOI May 24, 2003 9:04 AM | | I have had the T752 for about a month now. I'm still using it with my "old" Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble II system (surprisingly decent speakers for the price, but nothing really out of this world...).
However, while shopping for the T752, I auditioned it for a couple of hours in total and with a selection of my music hooked to a pair of Paradigm Reference Studio 20 (two channel stero only). It sounded like an excellent match.
The Studio 20 are relatively small, so you can't get wall shaking bass, but thanks to the bass reflex design and the T752 ability to deliver abundant current the low range is well extended and tight. Quite good for music, a little lacking for movies.
The Studio 20 go for $650 list per pair, and you can also get the matching center, surround and one of the several Paradigm subs. If you want the whole system you would probably exceed your budget. If you want a good system for music and can live with a compromise for movies you could get the Studio 20 for front L/R and buy lower cost speakers for center and surround and defer the purchase of the sub.
Keep in mind that the Studio 20 have the bass reflex port in the back. Positioning is therefore even more critical than with your typical pneumatic suspension bookshelf speaker.
Enjoy the T752, I love it. And I'm probably going to buy the Studio 20.....
