you convince me why a denon 2803 would be better than a 1804TYPHOON

I will use it strictly for 6.1 and strictly for movies. Is there any reason to get the 2803 instead of the 1804 for 300.00 difference?

$300 difference is the msrp, probably around 200 street price. Anyway you get cleaner amp, better x-over freq selector for subwoofer, probably better surround processor and plus learning remote. Learning remote can be expensive. With a learning remote control from my receiver, I got rid of my 4 other remotes from TV, cable box, VCR and DVD. Is it worth extra $200, you decide. But if you have the money, it may be worth it rather than regret later on. Good luck.
