| Hubby Gave Me My Mother's Day Present Today! | Mary May 11, 2001 7:08 PM | | A CD Burner!!!!! YES! I had mentioned the Pioneer PD-R609 to the Handsome & Tall One, and he ordered me one from etronics. I'll be burning before ya know it, and can hopefully pay back all those who have been so kind to me.
My first compilation will be: Texan Talent. It's a surprise...many different type of genres...from bluz to great riffs, from Ely to Nanci Griffith. :)
Again, many thanks to those who have supported me during my no-burn daze: Stone, dbi, DustyChalk, Chip & P.E. Also, YECH, for being willing to do so...
A Toast To All The Moms!

| re: Lucky you! | Ms. Nomer May 12, 2001 8:10 AM | | I have last year's model, the PDR-509. It's a very user-friendly deck, and for a change, has a well written user's manual. You'll be burning discs in no time. I've been using Memorex CD-Rs. I've been through three spindles now and have yet to find a defective disc. Wal-Mart and K-Mart sell these for cheap. In fact, the last spindle I purchased cost less than 50 cents per disc! Enjoy. |
| re: Lucky you! | tony w May 13, 2001 8:34 AM | | I have the 509 too, the only thing I don't like about it, is that it copies in real time. For making multiple copies for dist. this is way to time consuming. I'm looking at a burner for the computer and the comps will start to flow, fast and furious.
