Steve Morse is excellent, as usual, but the band as a whole cooks up classic DP tunes with vim and vigor rarely seen for a bunch of grey haired rockers.
The sound is great as is the video quality. They play a wide variety of songs from their extensive catalog.
The DVD is "divided" into 2 parts, part 1 is the concert, part 2 is interviews and more concert footage.
Excellent disc for the Deep Purple fan.

May 15, 2001 8:01 PM | | I saw them on that tour at the House Of Blues, They were simply incredible! The band had all the energy and precision you could hope for. Tho it woulda' been really cool to have had Blackmore there, Morse, who is one of my top five favorite guitarists, really filled in well. Ian Gillan still sounded awesome. They opened with Hush, and I couldn't help but to have my fist shakin' in the air! And I wasn't even drunk (yet). |
