Merry Christmas All,
Received the Charlotte Church CD "Enchantment" this morning for the holidays, slipped it in the Rotel and "OH MY LORD"! You must hear the angelic voice of this talented young woman. She is only 15 but with a voice like this I can definitely forsee a bright future for her. Her CD is masterpiece, exceptionally recorded. This CD is not SACD or HDCD, but I hoped I would see the HDCD light on my Rotel light up, but after a few seconds of listening- I could not care less. Amazing! And the best thing is is that not only is the recording great, but the actual program material is a joy to listen too. Take a listen and hear for yourself what your system can do- even with a 16 bit front end. Happy Holidays to all!

Tim Buckley on the cusp of the change from folkie to jazz as recorded ojn Dream Letter in 1968.
Judy Collins doing Sandy Denny's Who Knows Where The Time Goes may even eclipse Sandy herself (but I'm not taking bets), but for "choral" I'd go with the Tallis Singers doing Thomas Tallis' Spem Im Alia which is as breathtaking/heartstopping a 9 minutes as I can remember this side of... oh I'm not telling you her name!!!!
I deny you not to love this performance; its available on a couple of sources one of which is a Phillips twofa of Renaissance music..
OK!!! Double dare.......
