Dave's Power Trio Mix-Volume OneDave M

On Saturday I decided to man the Cd burner and add another compilation to my private collection. But what should it be? (I thought to myself.) I know. I'll make a mix of music from bands comprised of only three musicians. In other words, a power trio mix.

After perusing my CD collection, I was able to come up with a 17 track CDR featuring 17 different bands. Power trios fronted by singers (ala Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath) were excluded.

Power Trio Mix-Volume One (tracklist)

1) Love Or Confusion/Jimi Hendrix Experience
2) Deserted Cities Of The Heart/Cream
3) Won't Let You Down/B.L.T. (Bruce Lordan Trower)
4) The Rocker/Thin Lizzy (3 pc w/Eric Bell on guitar)
5) Fred/James Gang
6) Knife Edge/E.L.P.
7) The Trees/Rush
8) Pearl Necklace/ZZ Top
9) Art In America/Art In America
10)Cocktail Queen/Taxxi
11)Everybody Knows A Little Bit.../King's X
12)Tragic/Bozzio Levin Stevens
13)Sister Havana/Urge Overkill
14)Mule/Gov't Mule
15)Basket Case/Green Day
16)Tiny Explosions/The Presidents Of The USA
17)All Apologies/Nirvana

One of my future comps will feature the aforementioned power trios fronted by singers. It should be easier to come up with a songlist. There are lots of those types of bands. (Bad Company, Montrose, Van Halen, Soundgarden, Tool, early UFO). The mind boggles.

Some of the Van Halen tunes have guitar work from Hagar -- not sure about the Montrose.
Just did not want you to blast the integrity of your "3-piece" standard.
