Apr 18, 2002 9:26 AM | | Well i got this baby yesterday in the mail and by the nigth it was playing in my system, first let me tell you that i was not lucky enough to catch Genesis in concert ever, so i do not have point of comparison.
Regenesis is accepted in England to be the premier Genesis tribute band, in this show they try to recreate The lamb show as performed back in the seventies, in the encore set they played some other material.
After a slow start thinghs started to cooking up by the time they started to play in the cage from there on they played an almost flawlessly Lamb highlights included in the cage, back in NYC, carpet crawlers, chamber of 32 doors, supernatural anesthethist/lamia, riding the scree and it, in tyhe encore set they played half supper's and dance of the volcano/endos. the ensemble played superb thoughout, the sound quality is good as well as the film.
giving the shortage of genesis video material this is an excellent addition to my collection and i will reccomend it to you guys, i think you will enjoy it also.
To you guys that have been lucky to saw the show or the ones that have seen The musical box perfomances let me know your impressions after checking this one.

I have never seen ReGenesis, but I do have one of their live cd's.
Their versions of Genesis material is quite different than that of The Musical Box, as I have now seen Musical Box live three times and understand their motivations and abilities.
The Musical Box does an incredible job.
I will likely order this and will look forward to seeing this performance.
