| Queen DTS DVDa has arrived! | John Geelan Apr 20, 2002 5:09 PM | | Yesterday I got lucky and received the new Queen DTS/DVDA of A Night At The Opera from CDNow (I had pre-ordered this title back in October because of a great price and cheap shipping).
Amazingly the DTS tracks sound better than the DVDA tracks.
Even though I have bass management and own the RP91, my wife and I felt that the DTS tracks were much more involving to listen to.
The bass on this title is unbelievable! My SVS sub was really rocking. The Surrounds were full of information. This is one fun disc to listen to. I can now throw away my cd version.
This of course is great news to people who can only access DTS tracks or the Stereo Mix.
The DVDA's performance is still questionable. I was under-whelmed. Hopefully more people will report in on how the DVDA tracks sound on their systems when they get this disc.
The stores should have it on April 30.
This is a MUST buy disc.

| I'll take your CD! | Slosh Apr 20, 2002 9:37 PM | | Email me at pleitz@nni.com if you really don't need the CD anymore. But seriously, I just picked up the much lauded Roger Waters In The Flesh DVD tonight, and yes, it lives up to the hype. Don't even bother with the DD track (DD is fine for movies but leaves music as a hollow shell), the LPCM track sounds as good as your best CD re-master and is even in Pro-Logic (and sounds fantastic if your processor or AV receiver has a good music DSP mode, and of course sounds great in stereo).
