| I'm doggoned mad. | Dave_G Aug 13, 2002 10:19 AM | | Frikking Ticketmaster and concerts and so on.
OK so I go to Yes tonight.
Like a good little Yesfan, I used the internet pre sale which is supported by the yessite to get my tickets about 7 weeks ago.
I got pretty good seats, 20th row slightly off center. Not bad, but really wanted to be as close to center as possible.
Frik.
Just for fun I surfed ticketmasterbator YESterday, and they had 6th row center tickets available!!!!
Frikkkking pisses me off!!!!!
Dave, boiling but not too upset since I still will see Yes tonight |
| re: I'm doggoned mad. | nobody Aug 13, 2002 10:44 AM | | That happens a lot on the day of show. I used to work at a record store where we sold tickets, and I would check the computer throughout the day when a show I wanted to see was going on that night. Lots of tickets get set aside as promos and get given out to corporations and such. Usually, some of these find their way back to the box office as unused seats the day of the show. It's a gamble if you will get tickets this way, but i've seen a lot of good seats sold at the last minute because of this. Likely the tickets in row 6 weren't available when you got yours, but only became available at the last minute. |
| This won't make you feel better | BarryL Aug 13, 2002 1:21 PM | | I won't go to see concerts anymore unless I get great seats, and that didn't happen with Yes, originally. So, no good seats, no tickets. But then, about two weeks before the concert, my sister calls to tell me that there are now great seats! So we snatch two great seats, just right of centre. Enjoy the show. Three hours of Yes with Wakeman. This rools, dude. (Don't take your bike, but do buy one of those cool tie-dyed tees (and a mug). |
