Troy, I'm still at the old address until the end of the month. I did send my new address to you & a few other folks but I'm still not sure that it's exactly correct. I'm moving to a building where the entrance is actually part of another building. But I'll let you know what the number on the place is as soon as I know. If you need my current address hit me w/an email & I'll be happy to supply it for ya & rest assured I'll let you know yr a chump for needin' it.

That was a great movie, albeit, probably a chick flick. :-)

Jay, after seeing that photo of you and your wife, I've just got to say, you two look exactly the way I imagine the quintessential New Yorkers to look! Have you ever been extras in a movie? :-)

I know! I'm such a small-town girl. I still think places like New York, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennesee are exotic. :-)))

Snowie

PS. I'm also hoping Troy will read this post and ask for my address, too...

Never saw Crossing Delancey, but when we determined we were moving there we realized we'd be doing a lot of that. Chick flick, huh? I actually looked for it in the video store after we signed the lease but now I'm sorta glad they didn't have it. Not because I can't, ahem, tolerate a chick flick, but it's not necessarily what I want to see when we're in 'moving' mode. Something criminally stupid & full of mindless action sequences might fit the bill just a bit more. But thanks for the warning.

Quintessential NYers, huh? No, we were never extras, though maybe we should sign ourselves up if they do a remake of Freaks. Only thing is that, for Lower East Siders...neither of us have any tattoos, and, outside of my wife's earrings, we also lack piercings. Hopefully that'll mean we're ostracized. And don't forget that what's exotic is in the eye of the beholder! Most people hate NYC, or at least would never want to live in such a place (9/11 sympathy aside). I guess we can get a little NY-centric sometimes. Think of it as a character flaw. I try to.

It surprises me that there would be animosity towards New York 9/11 sympathies or not! From my corner of the world, our impression is that New York is a vibrant, multi-cultural, big-hearted, exciting, metropolis. Go figger!

Don't hesitate to get the movie, Jay. Its not that bad. Keeping in mind that I really like When Harry Met Sally. Oh, and another great NY chick flick - Moonstruck!

I tried again after getting your e-mail Troy and it just came back again. Have you gotten any other e-mail recently? It looks like your system is blocking my ISP as spam or something. I would post their addys here but am reluctant without permission. Maybe someone else can send you their addresses.
Hmmmm HELP!Troy

I've been getting e-mail constantly today. Last one was only a few minutes ago . . .

I can send you my phone # and you could read them to me . . .

Or can somebody else send 'em to me?
Ok Dave, that seemed to work. Thx n/tTroy

I know what you mean about matching monikers w/ real names...I'm Chris Little, BTW.

Thanks for taking care of that, Dave.

And, FWIW, vacation starts in 3 hours!
Anyone know if They Might Be Giants is suitable for children?Snowbunny

I'd love to get my best friend's kids some cool music besides the Mini-Bops do The Beatles. I saw their latest album NO! in the stores and they claim it is suitable for all ages. Are they just pulling my leg? Will I still be their Crazy Auntie Sue if I get them TMBG for Christmas, or will I be just plain crazy? They're four and six.

Susan

This is not simply a pathetic attempt to get Troy's attention so I can ask for a copy of his Retrocomps. ;-)

See, I can post without flirting, Troy darling! D'oh!
very much so!Rae

Their tongues are out of their cheeks when they say that No! is a children's album-- it really is. Go ahead and get it and expose your friend's kids to a really cool record.

Thanks, Rae... ummmSnowbunny

do you have it? :-)

Rae, I just realised that for some reason I don't have a single one of your comps. I would really like your Best of 2001, and possibly a couple of the others. I'll e-mail you with some possible trades, if you're willing.

Snowie

Please tell me the number in your e-mail address doesn't correspond to your age. :-)

I speak to you through electrical language
Sometimes I hear you when our frequencies meet
You try to listen buy you don't understand it
Turn up the rhythm and you'll pick up the beat.

This and more on my 1978 comp, to be completed soon.

Let me know if you want a copy.
I'd love a 1978, BarrySnowbunny

I'd be happy to send you a 1997 Comp, as soon as Davey figures out what we were listening to, way back then. :-)

Sorry about the fake flame there, Barry. I may have to pull out the big guns soon, and diss Wall of Voodoo. ;-)
