|   1986 is up for grabs again, but 1987's gonna rool! | Darius
Aug 15, 2002 3:41 PM | | Due to extreme busyness, I am cutting down the ambition of my year-by-year compilation assignment and just focusing on 1987, so 1986 is available again, if someone wants it. Heck, I could even send you a few songs on a disk if you're taking it on, depending on what you're looking for.
But as a consolation, I'm gonna make sure my 1987 comp kicks extra butt. I'm purposely going for a quite diverse comp and trying to get it to flow properly. But I've found some unexpected treats in the segue department between the most poppy of numbers and the most avant garde. The thesis of my comp is as follows: 1987 rooled dood! Fair enough? |

Aug 15, 2002 4:42 PM | | ya know, just between you and me Darius, she's one of my faves. Do you remember her cover of "I Think We're Alone Now"? That absolutely rooled in 1987! Throw in the Bangles doing "Walk Like An Egyptian" and a couple of those heartfelt U2 ballads and I'll be a happy man!
Actually, on a little more serious note, I hardly remember anything musically noteworthy from 1987 and doubt I have more than a handful of albums from that year so I'm looking forward to this one :-) |
