| Anyone hear the Doug Martsch solo album? | 3-LockBox Feb 27, 2003 3:39 PM | | I haven't. He's the lead singer/song writer for Built To Spill. Ancient Melodies Of The Future is becoming one of my all-time fave albums. |
| Why, yesss | Slosh Feb 27, 2003 3:56 PM | | And it's pretty damn good too. Half of it features slide electric guitar and the other half is mostly (slide) acoustic, which makes it kinda bluesy but it definitely isn't a blues album.
But if you don't have BtS's Perfect From Now On, Keep It Like A Secret, and/or There's Nothing Wrong With Love, get those first (in that order).

| I have those first two. | 3-LockBox Feb 27, 2003 4:48 PM | | as well as Ultimate Alternate Wavers. I like the last two albums the best, though (Keep It Like A Secret and Ancient Melodies). |
| It's a good album | Ex-Lion Tamer Feb 28, 2003 6:35 AM | | Well worth owning for a BtS fan. It's got some excellent guitar playing and a couple of the songs, case in point Gone, that are as good as any BtS song. Sounds good on vinyl too, if these things matter to you.
