Here 'ya go. 5 paragons of the early '90's grunge scene. Rank 'em.

1. Alice in Chains: Dirt
2. Nirvana: Nevermind
3 Pearl Jam. Ten
4.Smashing Pumpkins: Gish
5. Soundgarden: Superunknown

I know, you could debate whether Smashing Pumpkins belong on a grunge list, but, hey, it's my poll, so I'm including them.

Seems to me that "Siamese Dream" would be the pick for Smashing Pumkins, since that was their "money shot" album..

Come to think of it, the only albums I really "know" on this list are "Nevermind" and "Gish" - I only got "Dirt" recently, have never been much into "Ten" and even though I really like Soundgarden, "Superunknown" annoys me (I'll be happy if I never hear "Black Hole Sun" again)..

here's my list (from your list)
1. Nirvana - Nevermind
2. Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
3. Alice In Chains - Dirt
4. Soundgarden - Superunknown
5. Pearl Jam - Ten

but here's MY cheat "Grunge" list:

1. Nirvana - Nevermind
2. Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
3. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
4. Alice In Chains - Dirt
5. Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff ;-)
