| Folk satire | jack70 Mar 2, 2003 4:28 AM | | Here's a funny 2 & 1/2 minute film by Christopher Guest & others that mocks the Folk movement a bit, but in good fun, not viciously. Most of you already know who Guest is, so you know what to expect. You'll recognize many of the actors too.
The enter page lets you pick the player and connection speed for your PC... Since I have cable I used Quicktime and Broadband... that file was 20M(!). But I don't know how different the quality is at other speeds. It'll probably play better (smoother) after it's finished and you re-play it [offline]. On the heels of the annual Grammy nonsense, I enjoyed it... and saved it on my hard-drive.

On a similar vein...have you ever seen the John West Salmon commercial?
You can find it here then choose "Ursa" - geri!(John West Salmon commercial" in either asf or mpg formats). It's a favorite of mine. |

| re: Folk satire | Troy Mar 2, 2003 10:46 AM | | I saw this preview the other day when I saw "The Pianist". I slayed me. This is going to be a VERY funny movie. |
| Its a movie preview | 3-LockBox Mar 3, 2003 10:00 AM | | and it does look funny. If you remember Guest on SNL from '84-'85, he had many funny bits and made a lot of commical satire films while a cast member. |
| If its anything like Best in Show... | tugmcmartin Mar 3, 2003 1:45 PM | | This will be a great movie. Looks to be basically the same cast... even with some of the same pairings. Guest is a great satirist. Love his stuff. |
