My guess would be Tony Kaye since he seems to have kinda' butted out of the whole project at that time.

Actually, it seems amazing that any of those guys would be into such things.

I remember some stories about Squire and his alcohol but he has since kicked that.
It was mainly Squire.BradH

Although I can see where Tony Kaye would also be a likely suspect - evidently somewhat of a ladies man (one of those ladies being Squire's oldest stepdaughter). But Squire's the party animal. The real fight on Big Generator was between him & Anderson, apparently over this very subject. He looked hammered on Starlicks' instructional tape in 1990. He didn't even play that much on it, just mostly showed his awesome collection. The next year there was some talk about Squire playing bass on the ABWH tracks on Union but Bruford claims his playing was so bad that he was glad to have Levin instead - but you never know with Bruford, he talks a lot of smack. A roadie was asked on the Union tour about Squire's vice of choice that year and the roadie replied "everything". This last marriage seems to have turned the trick, though.

This whole thing about bickering wives is interesting because it's one of the rarely acknowledged sources of tension in successful rock groups. Yes really suffered from it in the 70's because Brian Lane had an accountant who couldn't say no. So, it was first come, first serve until somebody was left out in the cold. That's where the wife factor comes in. You can imagine: "That bitch. How can they afford to (fill in the blank) while we only have (x number of hundreds of thousands)." That's the only reason

was made - they were broke. I don't think any of them ever saw a million dollars in their whole life. Drugs, money & wives - that's what kills bands. Btw, this was all hilarious subject matter when they were on Howard Stern.
