Jun 16, 2003 9:12 AM | | Finally have in my possesion a jazz album that I've wanted to have for quite some time, but never purchased. After several spins over the last few days, I thought it might make for an interesting review, if there's enough interest.
So here's the deal:
A) Is there enough interest in Jazz here to do a review? (I think there is, just looking at the Tues. Rotation threads)
B) This would be a mystery review, no artist, no song titles etc. until a couple weeks after send off. Are you game, or are you burned out on mystery reviews? And know up front, there are no words/lyrics to comment on. Does that make the review more difficult or less interesting? Or better and more challenging?
C) This isn't some new, cutting edge jazz band or album. In fact, it is not new at all (or is it, when you consider just how long jazz has been around? - ah, the mystery). For some, this will be a surprise, for true jazz buffs, you may recognize it immediately - may even own it (that's the risk you take in a mystery review).
If there's interest, I'll send it out to 10 or so reviewers. If not, no big deal.
