Need help identifying a song. This is a tough one.Swish

I remember this song from waaaaaaay back in my college days that a local band used to play. They played a a fair amount of "Southern Rock" or songs with a southern tinge ("Waitress, hey waitress, come sit on my face" was one of the crowd favourites), had a very good lead vocalist, and were a lot of fun in general. Anyway, they used to play this song that included some audience particiption. I could never understand the lyrics but they were somethng like "Old Flat Tire" or "Gonna Find Time", which the lead singer would repeat, then he would loudly sing "heyo, heyo" and the crowd would shout the same phrase back to him. We'd all be have looped and just hollered back, never bothering to get the name of the song or the proper lyrics.

Well, that's all I got. It's almost too painful to ask you guys if you're familiar with the song, what with the very limited info and all. I have nowhere else to turn and the band has been disolved for many years, so you guys, lucky sombitches you are, are my best shot.

I was quite smashed by the time I left, so I have no idea of my actions later on in the evening. My wife keeps reminding me of them, however (sigh).
I forgot another good clue....Swish

at one point he sings "iddy iddy ya ha", which the crowd repeats back to him. That should nail it, eh? :-)
Sounds somewhat like......MasterCylinder

It's more of a hillbilly type of feel, with a tempo that reminds you of country swing or something. Kind of like a Dwight Yokam tune, but this was back in '79 or '80.
This could be the most ridiculous request anyone has ever...Swish

made on this board. I admit it, and my clues are nearly worthless. Perhaps if I offered reward you might come up with it?
If it's so lame & stupid.......MasterCylinder

...I'll throw this out, just in case the obvious was overlooked: "Minnie the Moocher"? Maybe it was a cover...
Nope, I know that one and it's not the song.Swish

...something is saying Pat Travers Band. And no, I'm not thinking of "Boom Boom, Out Go the Lights."

We're going back a quarter century or so to fire some extremely damaged brain cells here, so take this with a whopping grain of salt.
Pat Travers Band? Well, I don't have any of their stuff, but...Swish

What? Are you insane? :-)Swish

I guess you're just messing with me, since your guess is clearly a fairly heavy rock tune and it's from 1995. I mentioned the song I have in mind is more like a "country swing" type tune (think Asleep at the Wheel) and that I heard it played by a band back in 1979-80.

I am insane, and i was messing with you. I was listening to Clutch yesterday and that song has a part that goes hee-ya hee-ya hee-ya, so I thought I'd be a wise ass like always and wrote that post. good luck trying to figure it out!!
Hmmm. I wonder if it's a song by "Asleep at the Wheel"?Swish

It just hit me that the song has their kind of sound, especially if you've ever heard "Way Down Texas Way". It has the same tempo and feel as the song I'm trying to find, although it's certainly not that song.

I just checked their catalog and can't find anything so far, but I'm going to keep searching.
