There won't be an email. Problem with the system. The solution is to post this problem on the appropriate thread in the general forum (old software) Appeal to Chris and he'll hook you up.

good luck,
jc

Is he one of those volunteer moderator guys? If so, I'll bet that this isn't what he thought he was signing up for.

I sent him a private message last night but haven't received a response yet.

Didn't they test this new software before unleashing it on us? Geez, in my Company, we wouldn't even consider releasing new software without being certain that our users would actually be able to use it! That's just bad business.
Hey now...Chris

I actually run the site now. I'm employed by ConsumerReview, and have been running their CarReview site for about 4 years now. I know all about the AudioReview site ;) Maybe not the products or the market, but I know how tough the community is.

We're asking that everyone post their problems with the new system in the old General Forum. This way, all complaints are in one spot. We need to get everyone all fixed up before we shut down posting here in our old forums in a couple of weeks.

And yes, we did do testing, but we're finding out that our email domain may be on a spam list with some ISPs, which is why some people aren't receiving their activation emails. This software is used by thousands of websites, so it wasn't necessarily a testing issue. There will always be hiccups when you're a small company who has limited resources. I think it's just the reality of internet business.
Well it's nice to meet you.ForeverAutumn

You ever see the scene in Woody Allen's 'Take The Money And Run' where instead of solitary confinement, he's sentenced to 24 hours in a tin shed with an insurance salesman? We can do the internet version of that where you have to argue with me for a day or two. After I wear you down to a nub on any concievable topic, then maybe you'll be considered for admission to the new site. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
But remember J, it's "i" before "e", except after "C"...Swish

but you'll probably argue with me about that! Now if they only could add a spell-checker to this board...

Hey, look at it this way--if there was a spell-checker, then maybe you couldn't give me a hard time about a typo or a misspelling! What about that? Huh? Huh?

A month ago I found myself in Philly for the first time in over a decade & was pleased to see that the Philadelphia Record Exchange is still around. Ever shop there?
Never been there, but I don't live in Philly...Swish

even though I get there at least once a month or so. I'll have to check it out if you're recommending it.

It's 'I' before 'E', except after 'C', and when sounding like "ay", as in "neighbour" and "weigh"...

Other exceptions:
cleidoic, codeine, conscience, deify, deity, eider, either, feisty, foreign, forfeit, gleization, gneiss, greige, greisen, heifer, heigh-ho, height, heir, heist, leitmotiv, neither, peignoir, prescient, science, seiche, seidel, seine, seismic, seize, sheik, society, sovereign, surfeit, teiid, veil, weir, weird

I found this list on this page, and edited out all the ones that rhyme with "ay".
Someone has waaaaaaaaay too much time on his hands.Swish
