cleaning up of a vintage amplifierRupTheKid

Hey all. I came across an amazing vintage amplifier - the Marantz 510R, (specs/pic available at www.classic-audio.com). It sounds excellent, however it is in some need of cosmetic work. I would like to wipe down the inside of the case, and the circuit board and components. Also, the black metal grille on top is a bit rusted in a couple scattered locations. Not being very knowledgable with the following, I would appreciate help with the following:
1) What cleaning product / solvent to use to wipe down the internals / PCB

2) The best method of removing slight rust spots (fine sandpaper, a specific solvent, etc)

3) If I should attempt this job myself, or have it professionally done

4) Where I may find an authorised vintage dealer / repairman in my area (Philadelphia)

Sorry for all the questions, and thanks in advance for all advice / help.

I'll deal with the rust now as I don't have much time. Is the rust on a chrome or enameled surface...I need to know this before proceeding. The best abrasive for rust is bronze wool in the finest grade 0000 or 00000. Do not use steel wool ever as it itself will rust. Almost all sandpapers except a #500 wet paper will not be a good idea. Tell me more.
