Speakers to use with vintage setupBillB

I'm looking to put a vintage setup together and I'm not sure what type of speaker to get. I've looked at older B&W's and Tannoy's as well as new speakers from KEF and Mission. I'd like to stay in the $350 and under range and get a decent pair of bookshelves. Thanks in advance. The system would be as follows:

NAD 7020 Receiver
Thorens TD-166 MKII Turntable

how large a room do you intend to use the system in? Of all the ones you mentioned Tannoys are my absolute favorite but might be impossible to find a pair with their dual concentric drivers at that price. You can easily spend double that for each driver without cabinets for the Monitor Golds. The Reds are a little cheaper but still way over budget. I am only concerned with the limited power of the NAD for the KEF's. I might if I was you be looking for a pair of LS3/5A's from Spendor, Harbeth or Rogers for a very sweet "British" sound. The moniker comes from a design spec published by the BBC for small monitors for use in their recording studios and radio stations. They are great speakers and might fit your budget ...

These are truly great speakers and one of the best small bookshelf speakers ever made.
