Apr 22, 2001 9:07 PM | | I gotta tell! You all most likely saw the pic of the RS1's 4 tower Infinity's I picked up a while ago and posted here. Well, as most Infinity vintage owners know, having spare EMIT tweeters and EMIM midranges on hand is good for your mental health, and these are unavailable from Infinity any more.
Anyway, here in my town, I found another COMPLETE pair of RS1's a guy was going to tweak, he had disassembled the mid/tweeter crossovers to install aftermarket caps and such, and had spent $750 for the upgrade parts from Micheal Percy. Then he lost interest!
Now for the paltry sum of $300, I've got his complete, but partially disassembled RS1's, and $750 worth of unused upgrade parts!
So now I have a complete spare pair of woofer towers, unmolested, with 12 good woofers, 14 spare complete EMIM mids, and 8 spare EMITS.
As well as the 2 mid tweeter towers, all the grilles, and a complete spare outboard crossover box, PLUS the instructions for the tweaks and his expensive box of expensive solen and black gate upgrade caps!
The Audio Gods smiled down upon me again this day!
