Nakamichi Receiver ProblemKapsley

I have an older (ten years?) Nakamichi Receiver 2 which I use to power sound for the basement, deck, etc. It works fine, except several months ago lost its ability to remember tuner presets with even the slightest power outage. I've taken off the cover and looked for a battery in vain. Any ideas??

I would say it's a battery/memory chip problem

anyway, I have the CD Player2 Limited, I use it all the time in my 20channel system (the cdp brother to your receiver) and I love it, its an amazing play that's built good, sounds good, looks good, and has great features

if my cdp says anything about the quality of your reciever, then I would say even if there is a proablem deffinitly keep it!

some recievers and tuners loose their memory as soon as the power is unplugged, others (most) don't and can last for months/years without loosing their memory, I guess it's all up to the design of the unit

I own a Nak RE-10 which is 2 years old and probably not the same generation as yours (mine says "Harmonic Time Alignment" on front panel?). However, I have the same problem with the presets. I bought used, so I don't know if it had battery back up when new. Maybe they overlooked it in the design... or maybe the battery dies quickly, I dunno.
